TIKTOK: If It's Not Fun, You're Doing It Wrong
Dave Jorgenson - Producer, Social Video, The Washington Post

TikTok is the first new social network to gain mass appeal in half a decade, when Snapchat introduced us to stories. Just as Snapchat changed the rules, TikTok is hitting the reset button once again on what a social network looks like. From challenges to duets to meme culture as an algorithm—what does it all mean for brands? Dave will share how The Washington Post has tapped into TikTok's growing zeitgeist and share tactics for how your brand can create compelling content in social media's new vertical video world.

Dave will also share how he made a TikTok video earlier that day using only the resources and people that were available to him at the time. The audience will be taken through the different steps of production, explaining each creative decision. In doing so, Dave will conclude how a TikTok video, or TikTok account, cannot be successful if it wasn’t fun to make.
